1/28/19 Mary Berry's Crunchy Top Lemon Cake

1/28/19 Mary Berry's Crunchy Top Lemon Cake
Love the Great British Baking Show and several of their cookbooks have been gifted to me. The Prayer Breakfast love lemon flavor and this cake was prepared today. Care must be taken not to deviate from the recipe and add additional lemon flavor. This has resulted in a sunken middle. Still, the lemon flavor is robust!!

1/26/19 Epci Failure

1/26/19 Cream of Mushroom Soup

At home, we love to try a new recipe. Using a new Taste of Home magazine recipe, I tried a Cream of Mushroom soup and it was awful! Couldn't even just stick it out and eat it. My husband John couldn't eat it. In the trash. What a waste. I thought several of the ingredients seemed unusual, but  I was game on to attempt something new. This was my 2nd recipe try from this magazine and my family asked me to throw the magazine away!

The Escoffier Lunches at CCC are an adventure to experience foods from all the regions of  France. The courses are prepared by the students at CCC and the breads and the desserts are prepared by my fellow students in Baking and Pastry. I am looking forward to my Capstone Class when I will be a part of the team serving the Escoffier Lunches!
